325 internally displaced people received food vouchers in Sumy in April
The “Road of Hope” project, implemented by Eleos-Ukraine, continues to support internally displaced people (IDPs) in Sumy. Throughout April, the team organized seven distribution events, providing 325 people — primarily women and men aged 35–40 — with food vouchers worth UAH 1,000 (approximately €25). The vouchers allow families to purchase essential groceries based on their needs.
“This is our home, our country, our people. When someone is in need, we must support each other — that’s our strength,” said Marharyta Bilodid, Humanitarian Assistance Specialist at Eleos-Ukraine in Sumy. “What stays with me most are people’s smiles and gratitude — especially ahead of Easter, when many were happy to be able to buy something special for their holiday table.”
Internally displaced people in Sumy can register to receive assistance through the project’s partner, the charity shop Posmishka Yednosti Charity Shop, or via this form: https://forms.gle/7z9aDuWqUPa5CreY7
The “Road of Hope” project is implemented by Eleos-Ukraine in partnership with Johanniter International Assistance, with financial support from Aktion Deutschland Hilft.
